In the past few weeks, Ive had my fair share of ups and downs. it's all part of life.. right? when things are too smooth, a few obstacles are thrown your way, then you grow a little stronger, a little wiser.. i've learned to simplify things and to think with my head, not act on impulse.. well kind of.
Now that winter break is here, it's time to indulge in a few guilty pleasures. I can finally lay in bed and watch the gorgeous agent morgan save the day, snack on lafarm's cinnamon white chocolate scones, slap on a mask, take a bath and read a book (or several). Ive always dreamed that my future house will have 2 things. 1. A huge kitchen where I can entertain and bake to my hearts content. 2. A room full of books, like the one in Beauty and the Beast. I've been reading excerpts of Lullabies by Lang Leav, here's one to enjoy.

New Years Resolution:
My sister sent me an image on instgram with a quote, it was somewhere along the lines of if only we could see ourselves as others see us, we would know how amazing we really are. These words have so much power. I have my insecurities, everyone does. And every single day we see something, somebody we wish we were... I wish I had her confidence, her smile, her wit. Its hard to appreciate what we already have, I guess the grass is always greener on the other side? This year I want to be truly confident and self accepting. The people who are around you, who take the time to understand you, are worth appreciating. Why cheat them by being somebody you arn't. I've always wondered how I looked in someone elses eyes. Is it the same as I feel? do they see my self consciousness? I want to be able to step aside and look through their eyes and imagine that they see something special. Im counting on that self fulfilling prophecy!
This month I was in the mood for pampering : Lush
I went for Golden Wonder, a champagne bath bomb with sweet orange, lime, and cognac oils.
They had me at the gold glitters... Its a bathbomb with a suprise in the middle. Can't wait to give it a try.
Amy brought home a box of Frans Chocolates! dark choclate sea salt caramel and smoked sea salt caramel. I love the sweet and salty combination.

Go to frozen custard : Pumpkin with pistachio nuts. Pumpkin is a seasonal flavor and so is cinnamon chocolate chip, enjoying them while I can.
Just a few presents under the tree. Had to include the pocky my dad brought from Japan. The heart shaped strawberry ones are amazing. My favorite pocky though still has to be the extremely thin (極細) ones covered with dark chocolate.
